So after months of viewing my family members blogs, I finally let them convince me that I should do a blog. Although I feel like since I don't have a family to blog about I really don't need a blog, but I decided I might as well try.

Here is a run down of what I have been doing in the past say 15 years. (Yikes am I really that old?!?) I went to UVSC on a basketball scholarship, where I played two years and graduated with an associates degree in business. Playing college basketball was full of new experiences for me. The end of my freshman year as we were preparing to go to play offs I hurt my shooting shoulder in practice. I knew that I needed to make it through the rest of the season so I got a couple of cortisone shots in my shoulder to tie me over and as soon as basketball season was over I was headed to physical therapy 3 days a week. About middle of June I kept telling my athletic trainer that it wasn't helping and that I needed to go see a shoulder specialist. After a month of trying to convince them that it still wasn't doing any good, I was finally able to see a shoulder doctor. I hadn't been in the room more than 5 minutes with the doctor when he asked me to straighten my arm out. As soon as I put my arm out to the side he said "I will see you in surgery within the week." So to make a long story short, I had the surgery and was able to play the next season. I didn't enjoy it after that, and just decided that sports in the big league wasn't really fun anymore.
I moved back home to Kimberly and worked for a couple of years. After Erin (my sister) got married I moved to Colorado with them and lived and worked there. After they moved back to Utah I moved back to Kimberly where I worked. Almost 6 years ago I decided to make a change...and I have been in Boise since then. I worked for a Marketing Company up until July of '07, when I took over managing the Seagull Books up here. I love the job and the company takes care of us, but the Holidays away from family are hard.
I spend my time working and with family. I'm still single, and so occasionally there is a date or two in there. But most of the time is spent working. I just got released from my calling in the singles ward I was attending. I was the Gospel Doctrine teacher. That was something totally new for me...I discovered I really HATE being up in front of "singles"! Well it is probably a fear of being in front of anyone for that matter.
